Annual Kids Christmas Party in Norwich
NORWICH — The Kids’ Christmas Toy Fund on Saturday will throw its Annual Kids Christmas Party, an event that provides gifts of love for underprivileged children, and Rep. Christopher Coutu plans to be there to help the nonprofit organization celebrate a special milestone—20 years of service to New London County.
Coutu will go the party at Norwich Free Academy (it’s from noon to 5 p.m.) to present special citations from the legislature and Gov. M. Jodi Rell honoring the annual party and the efforts of organizer Elizabeth Hall-Hurley.
The Dec. 19 party will be held inside the school’s cafeteria, and it benefits New London County children to age 15. More than 500 kids participated last year, and organizer Hall-Hurley hopes to have even more this year.
The organization is asking for monetary assistance to help offset the event’s costs, as well as toys and gift cards appropriate for children 12 to 15. At the party, the public can donate money to Kids Christmas for the purchase of gift cards. All checks should be made to “Kids Christmas.”
For information, call (860) 859-5318 or (860) 334-2289, or email Hall-Hurley at KidsChristmas07@sbcglobal.net.
Checks should be mailed to:
