Around the District with Coutu…

Eating at a steak and roast beef dinner on the same day? Rep. Christopher Coutu pulled off that heavy feat recently when he visited folks at both the Sprague and Norwich rod and gun clubs. While at the events he talked to constituents about one of his passions: protecting the constitution. Other topics included the state budget and taxes. Over the weekend Coutu also caught up with former Norwich Tech classmates at the school’s Decades Reunion and open house, beaming afterward that “Norwich Tech pride is as strong as ever.” Coutu, a U.S. Air Force veteran, also attended the Disabled American Veterans annual banquet. At the event Coutu talked to Norwich-area veterans about some of the issues that concern them most: health care, social services and benefits. Coutu, a member of the organization, explained that Disabled American Veterans goes above and beyond to “help hundreds of veterans who need a hand from time to time.”
